James Hutton Consortium

In July 2019 we joined the James Hutton Raspberry Breeding Consortium.

This consortium researches and develops raspberry varieties with the aims of increasing yield and fruit size, improving fruit quality, extending season of production and increasing resistance to fungal diseases. They are currently looking at genetic markers for disease resistance such as phytophthora.
